Hospital and care home workers across the country are facing the coronavirus pandemic without the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) they need. We are receiving daily updates of alarming statistics of deaths amongst patients and workers and we cannot stand by and watch.
Brunel University London have launched Brunel Cares - a project together with Scrubs for Hillingdon, and we are now working quickly to source the correct material so we can start producing and distributing much-needed protective equipment to ensure that key workers are supported and protected through this worrying time.
Together with Scrubs for Hillingdon we have over 250 volunteers signed up and ready to create gowns, aprons, masks and more, but we urgently need your help. We have to raise £30,000 to fund Brunel Cares that will:
- Source materials, design and prototype
- Manage the makers and manufacture
- Deliver protective equipment to where it is most needed
Now we need your support so that we can move forward and help save lives.
Double Your Donation!
All donations up to the first £5,000 will be generously matched £1 to £1 by the Rushworth Charitable Trust.
Help us succeed!
Scrubs for Hillingdon have a hub of volunteers and a manufacturing process in place ready to work together with us, but we still need your help!
Volunteers – we already have over 50 volunteer sewers on the list, but we will need many more! If you know anyone that is able to volunteer to sew, pick-up/drop-off materials or help coordinate the project then please sign up to be one of our Brunel Cares Volunteers.
Please help us help our front line health care workers by donating what you can to help in this effort and share with your networks to spread the word - every little bit helps!
